I did the Daniel fast at the beginning of this year, and I really learned a lot about the foods and myself. I felt awesome. Plain and simple. My taste for things changed (improved). Afterwards I went back to what I use to eat. It's just not cutting it anymore. I'm a believer now of the vegetarian regiment.
I did a lot of meal planning while preparing for this fast. It got to the point where I was gathering tons of recipes that would mimic the foods I was to avoid. I felt convicted one day with the thought that doing all this work to make food that tastes like the restricted foods was defeating the purpose of the fast. So I started by scratch again and went really really simple. I've stuck with that mindset and it works. So the meals on here will be very simple. It's all I have time and focus for and I'm sure I'm not the only one in the world to claim that. ;)
So on this blog you will see Daniel fast friendly meals and more. The "more" will be meals with a vegetarian base with some dairy and eggs added in with occasional seafood. I had these initial posts on another blog and the traffic I get on just these posts is crazy. It is a highly searched topic. So I'm putting them all here in one place. Organizing it this way will also motivate me to get back on this "diet". Beside, I enjoy making a plate pretty for a picture. :) Enjoy :)
P.S. I cook without measurement tools. I'm sorry. I will try, in the future, to be more observant of what I cook so that I can be more specific on amounts and stuff.
